2010 Bowl-A-Thon a success

The 2010 Chicagoland Bowl-A-Thon was held on Saturday, April 10th at Poplar Creek Bowl in Hoffman Estates for the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois.
Eighty bowlers helped to raise more than $7,500 at this year's event, including four bowlers who raised more than $500 and will receive an iPod shuffle! In addition to bowling, children, adults and families that attended enjoyed pizza, drinks and the raffle and silent auction.
The
2010 Bowl-A-Thon wouldn't be possible without the leadership of our committee chair, Tim Thibeau. This was Tim's first year serving as the event chair for the Bowl-A-Thon and he was
instrumental in ensuring that we were able to meet our goal.
Funds raised will be used for direct services to people with Spina Bifida and their families, through Scholarships, Family Outreach
Program,
Adult Transition Programs and educational and social events.
