Bowlers Pack the Lanes for 2011 Chicagoland Bowl-A-Thon
The 2011 Chicagoland Bowl-A-Thon was held on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th at Poplar Creek Bowl in Hoffman Estates for the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois.
About $22,500 was raised by bowlers at this year's event. In addition to bowling, children, adults and families that attended enjoyed pizza, pop and beer, a silent auction, and a raffle. Four bowlers who raised $1,500 or more received a free iPad or X-Box gaming system for their contribution!
The Chicagoland Bowl-a-thon wouldn't be possible without the support of our wonderful 2011 committee members, Tim Thibeau, Sean Thibeau, Chris Byrne, Jami Gryll, Jessica Corona, Dan Hill, Adam Kramer, Scot Levine, Aimee Look, Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod, and Mike O'Keefe, nor without the outstanding support of our event sponsors!
Funds raised will be used for direct services to people with Spina Bifida and their families, through scholarships, family outreach program, adult transition programs, and educational and social events.
