Hi all!
My doctor has pushed me up to using self-cath's every 2 hours during the day. My insurance does NOT cover this $50 per box which provides a whopping 30 cath's each. I have tried washing/cleaning but end up with bladder/urinary track infections. To top that off, the antibiotics end up destroying the good flora in my gut and I also have a neurogenic bowel.
After a month of this torture, tears and depression I finally get rid of the torture. Does anyone know of any program to get these things either cheaper or free? I am desperate.

Hello,
We have a discount program through Home Delivery Incontinent Supplies (HDIS) http://www.hdis.com/ - just contact them and let them know you are interested in the discount program through the Spina Bifida Association of Illinois. Depending on the size, you may be able to get $10 off a case (usually around $80 including around 80 catheters).
Also, in the meantime, if you have receipts from 2008, you can request an emergency funding reimbursement form from the SBA of IL office: 773-444-0305.
I hope that is helpful. _________________ Rebecca May
